From one show, Ashnikko is an artist that you need to start listening to.

On March 21, 2026, I saw Ashnikko perform live for the first time and experienced greatness. I had only known of Ashnikko from COVID, and I did not realize how amazing a performer she truly is.

Before she went on, she had not one but two openers who were amazing. The first opener was Googly Eyes, whose music was a mixture of alt-pop and techno. It was really interesting, and I was glad to have experienced it live. Her second opener was Princess Nokia, whom I had known a little bit about. She really brought the energy from the crowd, gaining a lot of attention and interaction within the audience. She is a great performer who really spoke her true values in a way that everyone is aligned with. I can understand why she is opening for Ashnikko because both of their energy is very similar in a very outgoing and inviting way.

In the time before Ashnikko went on, I started noticing a lot of her fans’ outfits as they were all very intricate and some of the best I've ever seen. It was amazing to see so many creative people in one room, as everyone was so friendly to one another and really connected with each other over their love for Ashnikko.

Even though I did not know most of the songs that she played for her set, I felt like I didn't have to know much of their songs to still be able to enjoy their concert. It was a concert that I still had an amazing time at because of her performance. And by that, I mean she had two backup dancers, and she had a headset on, which really enhanced the vibe of a pop star energy. I definitely think that she is an amazing performer and was truly surprised by her because she was so interactive with the crowd. Even though she would take her breaks, she would still be talking with the fans and expressing her thoughts about the album and how much it has had an impact on her. She was 100% authentic to the crowd, in her own words, “I had a really hard show yesterday, and so today I’ve decided to have fun and be mischievous”.

She played fan favorites such as Working Bitch, She's So Pretty, Toxic, Chichinya, Tantrum, Full Frontal, Slumber Party, where she brought out Princess Nokia to sing their song together, and ended off the show with Daisy, which was a crowd favorite. In the middle of her set, she announced that for every city she'd pick out a smoochy girl, and for this show, she picked someone who had been waiting in line for 12 hours, and their whole outfit was DIY. It was amazing, and the crowd was so happy for her and just so positive.

Overall, as someone who was not a huge fan of Ashnikko’s music before, I do think I am now because listening to her music live is a whole different experience than the studio version of her songs. She brings so much energy to her performances and is really an artist who truly cares about her music and her fans. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have seen her live because it was a concert I will never forget.
