It’s that time of the year - that time when it’s starting to get colder out and Halloween fans of all ages are getting ready for trick or treat, parties, and even…live music? That’s right! A small, local venue in Hanover, Pennsylvania brought the heat to the live music scene this October!

Several events and parties took place, particularly during the week of Halloween. Audio and Visual Entertainment is a music venue, recording studio, and even tortilla factory located in Central Southern PA, about 20 minutes from historical town, Gettysburg. It was started by Diego Sandoval in the fall of 2021. “I was inspired to start AVE because I saw the need for a stronger community for artists, creatives, and like minded individuals,” Sandoval says. Audio and Visual Entertainment is a team of about 20 members, all specializing in different forms of media production. It is a place where local photographers, videographers, audio engineers, editors, actors, writers, and artists gather to keep music alive and thriving in the local environment. The venue holds many events throughout the year. Some of these events include artist release parties, concerts, and even a monthly open mic night which is free for the public to enjoy.

This month’s open mic night was held on October 30th and was attended by many people of all ages, eager to share their talent and their costumes! The event runs from7-9 pm every last Thursday of the month and the October open mic night was no different! There was a lineup of 8 groups or soloists that performed many types of music.

Both full bands and soloists played songs for the crowd. The entire venue was filled with Halloween decorations and lights. Tacos from The Mexican Food Truck, run by Sandoval’s parents, were available for purchase and are definitely not something you want to miss out on at November 2025’s open mic night! Overall, the event was a full night of music, food, and community. The Halloween concert and costume party was held on October 31st and was attended by upwards of a hundred people. Tickets were only $5 and the crowd was packed. Five bands took the stage, each dressed as their own

musical idols - Jake Groft as Luke Combs, Moon Jelly as Black Sabbath, Heads or Tails Experience as Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Rust Hounds as Heads or Tails Experience, and Age Against the Machine as Rage Against the Machine. Running from 7 to about 11 pm, the show was packed with great music. The sense of community at the event was overwhelming and the screams and cheers of everyone mixed together beautifully along side the loud music. Even The Mexican Food Truck was there and provided all of the delicious, authentic Mexican cuisine. Overall, the event was a huge success and there will be plenty more huge parties to come from Audio and Visual Entertainment. Here, you can find all of the tags for Audio and Visual Entertainment and of all of the bands mentioned above.

Stay tuned for future events and remember to help keep music alive in your town! Get out there and support your local artists and venues! We hope to see you next show
